Sustainable Blind Wine Tasting: And the winner is….???

On Saturday, February 4th, about 130 people came through East End Wines for the Net Impact Sustainable (Blind) Wine Tasting.

The challenge of the evening – can you pick out the wine that was originally packaged in the glass bottle?

The results – not so much… or at least not consistently.

Net Impact's new look!

As you can see, the Net Impact Austin Professional Chapter website is looking a little different (and yes, we still have a little more work to do) and we want to let you know why!

2012 is Net Impact's 20th anniversary and Net Impact used their 20th anniversary as an opportunity to update the Net Impact look. As an indpendent but affiliated chapter, we wanted to jump on board with the new look and logo so we've updated our site as well.

Soon, Shelton decided to create a platform that provides easy access to clothing that was both good to the earth and fair to people. This led to the creation of Good and Fair Clothing an Austin based wholesaler of clothes to big retail stores.

'Please buy my paper bags! I will take half the money you pay others. Playing a shopkeeper, I paid Rupees 50, which is roughly $1.00 for a set of 10 paper bags.

Austin brings the Unexpected to the Net Impact Conference

We’ve all heard the phrase “be the change you want to see” – and since I wanted to see more innovative and, shall I even say, crazy topics at the Annual Net Impact Conference (Oct 27-29, 2011 in Portland, Oregon), I realized it was up to me to make it happen.
