These are no ordinary times. And so the 2009 International Corporate Citizenship Conference will be no ordinary conference. Now, more than ever, we will focus with laser-like precision on how companies can restore trust, rebuild brand equity and re-establish relationships with investors, customers and employees.
Exploring how to manage a business through turbulent times and plot a solid course ahead will be at the heart of the conference. Emphasis will be placed on providing tools to manage strategy, measure impact and maintain a competitive advantage.
There is no magic trick to get companies out of this situation. But the principles of corporate citizenship - trust, authenticity, accountability and genuine stakeholder engagement - form the bedrock foundation companies need today. That is why we have chosen the bold theme: Corporate Citizenship: Leading Change, Finding Opportunity.
This is the time for tough questions, and attendees will tackle topics such as:
- How can corporate citizenship accelerate the growth of new opportunities?
- How can recent gains in corporate citizenship be sustained during enormously challenging economic times?
- How can employees be energized through innovative engagement programs that add immediate value to the business?
- What are best practices during a recession?
The 2009 International Corporate Citizenship Conference is the place where corporate professionals, academics and corporate citizenship leaders create dynamic, streaming conversation by sharing stories about their smart successes and sticky missteps. Guided by the notion that “what is said here stays here,” our corporate audience knows it can share the good, bad and ugly for greater learning not just for themselves but collectively for the field of corporate citizenship.
In addition to the dynamic conversations among those leading change, the 2009 International Corporate Citizenship Conference will showcase the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship’s key frameworks and tools to help you build greater professional competencies.
Please note: Registration is open exclusively to corporate citizenship practitioners inside of companies. Nonprofits, consultants, media, students and academics are not typically part of our participant mix unless they are a content partner. If you have questions about your eligibility to attend the conference or would like to request special consideration, please contact conference producer, Emily Weiner, at weinere@bc.edu.
