We are excited to announce our seventh 1house at a time work event of 2009 on Saturday, July 11 from 9 am to 1 pm. With help from Green Zone Home and Native Texan, we will be working on the home of Carmen Medrano in East Austin. The following improvements will be made:
Install a high efficiency clothes washer
Snake out washer drain
Rebuild washing machine wall and washer water supply and drain ports
Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent light bulbs
Seal door on HVAC closet
Caulk gap between sheetrock and AC buckets
Seal and gasket attic hatch
Service HVAC system
At this time, we need lots of volunteers and 2 to 3 seasoned hands-on types to lead small groups of volunteers to complete the jobs above. Please reply to this email address Mike.Frisch@ismi.sematech.org if you would like to join us. If you would like more information or would like to make a donation for this or a future work event, please visit our website at www.1houseatatime.org.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in a family's life and help our environment. Remember, its only 4 hours!
We hope you will join us.
