About Chris: Mr. Chris Varrone is the Chief Strategist, Technology R&D, at Vestas Wind Systems, based in Randers, Denmark. He is responsible for Product/Market Strategy for the company, with a special interest in software and service offerings relevant to the operation of large-scale power plants. Prior to joining Vestas, he has held senior management positions at SAP, TeleTech, ChannelPoint, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (Rocky Mountain). Early in his career, he spent nine years as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. and as a Managing Director at the Advisory Board Company.

Mr. Varrone holds an M.A. in Economics from Cambridge University and a B.A. from Williams College. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Norway in 1985-86, and speaks fluent Norwegian and Danish. He is married with three children, resident in Aarhus, Denmark.
