At a time when legislative priorities are being set, Texas Energy Future: Green Jobs and Clean Power will bring lawmakers, business leaders, and policy experts together.
The conference will be divided into two sections – Green Jobs and Clean Power. Green jobs will be the focus of the morning section, with nationally-recognized green jobs innovator Van Jones giving the morning keynote. A green jobs panel will address the growth potential of green jobs in a contracting Texas economy and the federal stimulus package. After lunch, discussion will move on to clean power, with keynotes from Roger Efird of Suntech America and Thomas Werner of SunPower. The afternoon panel will address the wide-range of economic opportunity clean power presents the state.
