Continuing a tradition that stretches back several Legislative Sessions, TREIA has declared March 2 – 5 as Texas Energy Independence Week. The week plays off the fact that Texas Independence Day is March 2. Renewable energy related activities and events are organized by TREIA at or near the Texas Capitol Building in order to reach out to Legislators and their staff, as well as to educate the public.
This year’s events include:
- Educational Exhibits Monday, March 2 through Wednesday, March 4 in the Capitol,
- Legislative Reception for TREIA members to meet and mingle with Legislators and staff on Wednesday evening at the Austin Club
- a morning Texas Renewable Energy Projects Showcase,
- a noon TREIA Policy Luncheon,
- and an afternoon Texas Economic Development Briefing on Thursday, March 5 in the Capitol
See the TREIA website for more information about events!
